HoldTheCotton Return & Refund Policy

General Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
If more than 30 days have passed since you received your order, we unfortunately can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition as you received it, and in its original packaging.

Certain types of goods are exempt from returns, such as:

  • Perishable goods (e.g. food, flowers, newspapers, magazines)

  • Intimate or sanitary items

  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids/gases

  • Digital or downloadable products (e.g. software, files, e-books)

  • Gift cards

To complete your return, a receipt or proof of purchase is required.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer directly.


Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Partial refunds may be granted for:

  • Books or printed materials with clear signs of use

  • CDs, DVDs, software, or vinyl records that have been opened

  • Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not caused by us

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, you will receive an email confirming its arrival.
We will also notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, your refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method within a few business days.

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit-card company — posting times can vary.

  3. Contact your bank — processing delays are common.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced products can be refunded.
Items purchased during promotions or on sale are non-refundable.


Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.
If you need an exchange for the same product, email info@holdthecotton.com before returning the item.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
Once the returned item is received and processed, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, or was sent to the gift giver, the refund will go to the original purchaser.


Shipping & Fulfillment

All HoldTheCotton products are produced and fulfilled by MarketPrint in Germany.
Production and shipping start automatically once an order is placed.

For returns or exchanges, the item must be sent back to the address listed above (MarketPrint on behalf of HoldTheCotton).
Please do not send items to any other address, as MarketPrint handles all fulfillment and return logistics.

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless otherwise stated.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, return shipping may be deducted from the total amount.

Depending on your location, the time it takes for your exchanged or replacement item to reach you may vary.
For items worth over €75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance — we can’t guarantee that we will receive your return without proof of tracking.


Legal Notice for EU Customers

Under EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU and § 355 BGB), customers have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving their order.
HoldTheCotton voluntarily extends this period to 30 days from delivery as part of our customer-first policy.
